- I am Laurens, a junior security specialist with a background in data science. In April 2017, I started with my first assignment for KPN's IT Young Talent Program, and since April 2019, I work at KPN CISO Labs. At CISO Labs, I am occupied with severak R&D projects on the domain of information security. This concerns both evaluating new technologies, but also conducting tests and demonstrations, as well as automize the regular office processes. In 15 minutes, I would like to show you what our department does regarding security automization, and tell you about our commercial security demonstration environment which runs in our security lab in Utrecht.
- My name is Floris. I studied Computer Science at the TU Delft and in October 2018 I started as IT Young Talent at KPN. Currently, I’m doing my second project of six months at the iTV (interactive television) department, where I’m a backend developer. One of the projects I’m currently working on is the transition to a new data/analysis platform for iTV. One of the goals of this transition is to be able to offer personal movie recommendations to our customers. Part of this goal is setting up the process and all necessary intermediate steps in order to be able to show a list of personal movie recommendations to a customer, based the actions the customer performed. I will tell something about how we approach these kinds of problems and what challenges we face.
- Hi! My name is Tom, and I have been part of the Data & Analytics track now for over one year. I love all kinds of puzzles, riddles and challenges, so when I applied for the Young Talent Program after my master in mathematics, this is exactly what I asked for: give me the hardest problems you can find and I will solve them for you! In 15 minutes, I will take you through my experiences in the program. I will tell you about my assignments in the network team, where I've mapped the quality of the mobile network next to the train tracks. My other assignment was at the consumer-analytics team, where among other things I've analyzed the effects of the recent price changes. Furthermore, we will work together on a use case to build our fiber-network in optimal fashion. We will not only look at the algorithms we’ve built and are still being optimized, but we will also talk about the different aspects of starting these kind of projects.
Be quick, there is only a limited number of places available for this exclusive IT/Tech event. Please note: the deadline for registration for KPN’s inhouse event is Monday 18 November until 16:00.
