Strategy& - A Day at the Museum
Amsterdam is home to some of the most treasured works of art in the world, including famous pieces by Rembrandt, Mondrian, Van Gogh and more. With dozens of galleries and museums, Amsterdam is undoubtedly one of Europe’s cultural capitals. However, the cultural sector is under pressure, and subsidies keep declining. As a result, it is becoming more important for museums to prove their societal and economic value to the government, in order to secure the funding they need to continue operations.
But how – exactly – does one go about estimating that value?
During the event you are asked to come up with a way to do just that by simulating a real project done by Strategy&.
The topic of the event is a good example of the many impact projects we do at Strategy&. Strategy& passionately believes in the need to align economic growth, social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Our work around the world reflects this approach: whether it is advising a government on how to achieve sustainable growth, or helping a start-up to reduce plastics in the canals of Amsterdam.
The event is an excellent opportunity to get to know Strategy&, to increase your understanding of what we do and to experience how strategy consulting is highly relevant for people with all academic backgrounds. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

We are looking for students in the last year of their Bachelor’s or first/second year of their Master’s degree in Amsterdam with a major in Law, International Relations, Psychology, Philosophy, History, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Languages or any other related field. We look for strong academic performance and participation in extra-curricular activities. Fluency in Dutch is required.
